We are excited to offer funded Ph.D. position(s) in the field of Applications of Sensors and Machine Learning in Metals Additive Manufacturing and Biotechnologies. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research and contribute to relevant publications. Upon program completion, a Ph.D. degree will be awarded jointly by San Diego State University and UC San Diego. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their CV to Prof. Kang by November 29, 2023. • Cyber inverse sintering solution for additive manufacturing using machine learning.
• Silent speech/emotion recognition using wearable EMG/EEG sensors and machine learning.
• High-resolution and fast fringe projection profilometry for 3D surface measurement.
